The manuscript has 19 quires, supplemented at the end with five leaves to complete the text. They are grouped in seven units, each corresponding to a major text section.

Most quires consist of four bifolios (quaternions), but this regular pattern is disrupted by the insertion of full-page miniatures before the main division Psalms. The full-page miniatures are usually painted on separate bifolios. The exceptions are two singletons, fols. 50 and 103, inserted within regular quaternions (quires 7 and 15).
