Additional prayers to the Virgin and scenes from the Pilgrimage of Jesus Christ

The marginal images on fol. 28 complete the cycle illustrating the French poem Pilgrimage of Jesus Christ and belong to the original campaign, together with the end of O intemerata. The rest of fol. 28, left blank during the original campaign, was filled with two prayers to the Virgin. The first one, beginning Omnis virtus (‘All virtue’), opens with a miniature showing Margaret of Brittany before the Virgin and Child. This image and both prayers were added for Margaret in the 1450s.
