The Associate Director, Fitzwilliam Museum will play a crucial part in shaping and executing the University's major gifts fundraising strategy, with a dedicated focus on raising funds to support the Fitzwilliam Museum. Situated within the newly formed Culture & Collections team, your work will align with the prospect management process of the Development & Alumni Relations department and the strategic priorities of the Fitzwilliam Museum and Collegiate Cambridge.
The Fitzwilliam Museum has an ambitious vision for the future as a pioneering university museum. You will raise significant financial support for the Museum's strategic priorities which have been identified as: exhibitions, learning, collections & research and heritage science & conservation.
We anticipate that you will secure five and six-figure gifts from a range of sources, including individuals (both alumni and non-alumni), trusts and foundations, and corporations, both within the UK and internationally. The role also involves managing complex relationships and priorities, requiring diplomacy and strategic thinking to ensure the effective delivery of fundraising targets aligned with the agreed strategic priorities.
