Ms Molly Stock-Duerdoth

PhD Student

Molly is a PhD student at the Fitzwilliam Museum and the University of Leicester. Her research considers the complex, embodied, and creative experiences of museum audiences and communities. She uses participatory and action research methods to investigate how museums can practically and theoretically prioritise these audiences as partners and collaborators. This research is located in learning programmes across the Fitzwilliam Museum, particularly Connections Through Collections.

Molly holds an MA in Museum Studies from the University of Leicester and an MSt in Latin Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, where she also received her BA in Classics and English. She has previous professional experience at Kettle’s Yard, supporting the 2022 summer project CoLAB, and at Glyndebourne opera house.

Molly is supervised by Dr Kate Noble at the Fitzwilliam Museum and Prof Sandra Dudley and Dr Gemma Angel at the University of Leicester.
