The Fitzwilliam Museum collection comprises 500,000 objects, displayed in galleries or house in on- and off-site storage. They will have experience of working with relevant collections.

We particularly encourage applications from candidates who have experience in mount-making for ceramics, sculpture, manuscripts, miniature paintings, jewellery and other decorative arts, including use of relevant machinery and software programmes.

Follow workplans, procedures and deliver projects around collections storage and care, and adherence to regulatory and legal requirements. Facilitate collections access through Study Rooms and Documentation support.

To help support our staff to thrive both professionally and personally, we have adopted a system of hybrid working, meaning staff are empowered to split their time between in-person collaboration and remote working. The frequency of remote working will be subject to discussion with your line manager.
