Freelance Operational Consultancy
As the principal museum of the University of Cambridge and the largest cultural venue in the region, The Fitzwilliam Museum acts as a crucial bridge between the University, the City and the rest of the world, and has an international reputation for extraordinary research, world class exhibitions, award-winning public programmes and significant collections spanning many cultures and centuries. The Hamilton Kerr Institute (HKI) is one of the world's leading centres for teaching and research in conservation and heritage science.
We are at an exciting stage in our development, as we look to strengthen our day-to-day operations and to grow our out of hours events and gallery hires business, as a key part of our new business model. We are now seeking a freelance consultant to advise on a range of roles which underpin our excellent public offer and enable us to fulfil essential operational functions.
The contract value is £10k and we are looking for availability in January and February to be delivered through desk-based research and onsite visits to Cambridge. We are looking for a good working knowledge of cultural venues and familiarity with operational functions including duty managers, events staffing and keyholding.
