The Fitzwilliam Museum has an international reputation for excellence in research, exhibitions, education programming and public engagement, all built around its outstanding collection. As the principal museum of the University of Cambridge, with over 200 staff and the largest cultural venue in the region, welcoming between 350,000 and 500,000 visitors a year, it fulfils its function as a crucial bridge between the University, the city and the rest of the world.

The role of the HR Administrator:

The HR Administrator will support human resource administration within the Museum in order to provide an effective and efficient service. Duties include: Performing local HR administrative tasks and ensuring record keeping, process management and communication with line managers and the wider museum. Providing support for recruitment processes, performing administration duties, provide payroll and financial administration and act as first point of contact for HR related queries.

They will support the HR & Workforce Development Manager and HR Coordinator with projects and other tasks as necessary.

We are looking for someone with excellent communication and organisational skills, and with previous relevant experience in an administrative role. Competent IT skills are required as is the ability to demonstrate knowledge of principles and processes of general HR Administration.
