As the principal museum of the University of Cambridge and the largest cultural venue in the region, The Fitzwilliam Museum acts as a crucial bridge between the University, the City and the rest of the world, and has an international reputation for extraordinary research, world class exhibitions, award-winning public programmes and significant collections spanning many cultures and centuries. In this role you will supervise the Museum's electrical systems, ensuring safety to life and minimizing fire-risk in a heritage building that houses a priceless collection.
You'll work within the Museum's Facilities Management (FM) Team, ensuring that electrical services are maintained and that any faults are dealt with promptly. You'll enable the Museum to engage, entertain and inform our visitors through maintenance of electrical systems to support general business needs, environmental controls and exhibition/display lighting.

We are seeking an approved electrician with experience and knowledge of specialised electrical systems, great communication skills, practical experience and training in electrical installations, and experience of training and supervising staff.
