The Charrington Print gallery and adjacent office were completed in 1936 and are among the great historic interiors of the Fitzwilliam.
The gallery, veneered in Australian Black Bean wood, was specially designed for a changing exhibition of prints from the collection, complete with a picture rail which is still in use.
The office was designed to house Lord Fitzwilliam’s print albums, one of the Museum’s treasures.
