Gallery 8: Spanish & Flemish Art 16th–18th Century
Open
Paintings by Sir Peter Paul Rubens are on display in this gallery, which also contains works by Pieter Brueghel, El Greco and Pedro di Mena.
The centre of the gallery is dominated by a newly acquired work Action 125 by Reza Aramesh. This coloured wood statue has been positioned close to the 16th century painted wooden statue of St Sebastian by Alonoso Berruguete (on loan from Colnaghi Ltd) in an intervention called Juxtaposition.
