Victories celebrated, heroes honoured, the fallen remembered, the nation rallied – the portrayal of warfare in its different facets has challenged artists over many generations. This exhibition explores the depiction of war in medallic art. Official gallantry and campaign medals from the Lester Watson collection are juxtaposed with commemorative medals and other material.
